Summer Camp Information

Pyramid CDC - 2024 SMARTNet Youth Summer Camp and Teen Workforce Readiness Program for both age groups, will be held at Kipp Columbus located at 2900 Inspire Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43224.

Students will receive breakfast, lunch, a take-home snack bag, and after completing Summer Camp, they will receive a computer device.

Students will spend 7-weeks, Monday through Friday, exploring various types of careers to help them identify their career passion.  They will participate daily in various hands-on activities while gaining useful skills, as well as, participating in team-building, leadership exercises, eSports Tournaments and field trips.  

All students will enjoy participating in the CTRL-R STEM Lab activities, funded by Battelle of Columbus, Ohio.  Students will gain hands-on experiences using project-based STEM Kits and Technology-based Learning Simulators.  Students will be challenged daily to build, design and imagine using their cognitive skills while having fun.

EliteGamingLIVE (EGL) is a Competitive Gaming League for Grades 5-12 utilizing eSports as an avenue to cultivate the next generation of scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians.  Every Thursday, students will participate in the EGL Academy where they will develop new eSports Skills, STEM vocabulary, compete in eSports Gaming Tournaments and rank for EGL's National eSports Tournament.

High school students will begin a personal journey exploring career clusters to give them a good understanding of a career pathway after high school.

Students will spend 5 hours per day for 7-weeks, building a personal performance to help them and guide them to their next steps after high school.

They will participate in a Digital Literacy Exam Prep Course to help them gain OhioMeansJobs Badges in Ohio department, educational career and technical credits.
