Since 2016, Pyramid CDC has developed two pillars of IT/STEM education tailored to youth, adults, and seniors. Our SMARTNet program offers affordable Digital Literacy, IT/STEM/ESPORTS training, enabling students to achieve:
- IT Certifications
- Software Front-End Development Certifications
- Career Technical Credits required for graduation
- Ohio Internship Credits
- Community Service Hours
- OhioMeansJobs badges
Additionally, we provide hands-on experience through our SMARTech Computer Refurbishing program. This initiative equips students with practical skills and work experience, preparing them for jobs with salaries exceeding $50,000.

Each year, we distribute over 350 computer devices to students, nonprofits, and schools.
In addition, we serve as an IT Training Hub, providing seniors with essential Digital Literacy skills.
Every student participating in our programs receives a refurbished computer device, reducing the environmental impact of recycled electronic equipment.

One of our key initiatives is Control-R, a platform designed to enhance accessibility and reduce barriers for students seeking IT/STEM education.
By providing 24/7 access to training resources, Control-R empowers students to learn at their own pace, reinforcing digital skills and technical competencies on their schedule. This flexibility ensures that education is accessible for all, regardless of time constraints or other commitments.
Control-R also simplifies program admissions, making it easier for students to enroll and engage with our curriculum. This streamlined approach saves time, reduces administrative burdens, and ensures more students can take advantage of the opportunities we offer. Combined with our practice of refurbishing computer devices for student use, Control-R exemplifies our commitment to sustainability by not only promoting environmental conservation but also fostering equitable access to technology and education. Through these efforts, Pyramid CDC is creating a sustainable cycle of opportunity and innovation for current and future generations.
