The Center Point is an entrepreneurship and small business readiness program funded, in part, by the Ohio CDC Association’s 2020 Ohio Microbusiness Development Program.

What to expect:

The Center Point. program consists of a training curriculum and technical assistance program, which provides mentorship, entrepreneurship education, financial literacy, digital literacy and small business legal instruction.

The program is designed to increase the viability and chances of success for microbusinesses with an emphasis on business ownership upon completion of the program.


The original format for the project was to consist of an in-person group session and one online group session each week for 6 weeks.  Due to impact of COVID-19, the project model has been changed to accommodate appropriate health and safety protocols and will be implemented in a completely online/virtual format.

When are classes held?

Classes will be held through Zoom Video Conferencing on Tuesday and Thursday  evenings 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm and Saturday mornings 9:00 am -12 noon.  Mentors and students may setup consulting throughout the course which may require additional time.

What is the time commitment?

 Successful Entrepreneurs never sleep because their love and  passion for their business motivates them to work endlessly.  The Center Point. Program requires a nine (9) hour weekly commitment.  In addition to your commit to be self-discipline to complete your weekly assignments and the completion of the 4-page business plan.
